If you are in to n scale, you likely have a 2-8-2 or 4-6-2 laying around. While they certainly aren’t cutting edge, they are must haves for many. My dad had a bunch of them and I wanted to display one so I put together a small case with my laser. Nothing fancy the top is made out of solid cherry while the bottom of the box is just a light ply. I made the dimensions to fit the blue plastic insert from the original plastic case. On the top I engraved a couple of slots to display the locomotive in a straight line.
It’s a simple box if you have a laser. I may make the file available but it really is simple to draw. I may burn a few as gifts or to sell, we will see. I want to get the kerf a little tighter.
